Haiti
We, here at New Consolation Christian Center – St. Louis link our faith with the entire Body of Christ and collectively send our prayers to the people of Haiti. The earthquake that has occurred was a horrible and frightening thing for people to have experience. It’s hard to fathom the actual feelings or state-of-mind of the families and victims that have been terribly affected; but one thing we do know how to do is pray! James 1:16 reads, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” We have the confidence as believers to know that when we pray, God truly hears our prayers!
You’ll even have some inquiring about how God could do this to people; the TRUTH is and will always remain, that our God is a God Love (1 John 4:8)! Even in the most horrific of tragedies, as believers it is vitally important to search out ways to give God the glory. Numerous reports have been circulating in the USA of people receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and many people still being recovered and are alive! We pray that our Government and those in authority make decision and rule with wisdom in this situation (1 Timothy 2:1-8).
New Consolation Christian Center is linking up with www.growinghopeforhaiti.org to sponsor medical supplies and other needed items to support missionaries who are on the ground. You are more than welcome to support them as well, or your local Red Cross. Whatever you do, do your part to pray and support Haiti.
